Product photography is one of the most underrated fields of photography. Rarely do you hear  of a celebrated product photographer. You hear of famous fashion and portrait photographers, or even nature photographers, but when was the last time you heard of a famous product photographer. Still, product photography is one of the most utilized types of photography around. You see pictures of products all over magazines, billboards, store posters, menus, and catalogs. How else to best promote and sell a product but through a picture?
     Though shooting products and still life may not be as exciting as the glamorous world of fashion photography, good product photography is much more challenging. A product photographer cannot direct a product to do various poses or expressions, nor can he enhance it with make up to liven up the photograph. His only tools are a creative use of lighting and camera angles.  
     Louie Aguinaldo is a photographer who has two decades of experience photographing models and portraits. For the past decade though, he has become one of the Philippines' leading product photographers. He has done product photography for over two dozen magazine titles including the Philippine editions of Cosmopolitan, Martha Stewart Weddings, Marie Claire, Town and Country, Seventeen, FHM, T3, among others. He also has been taking photos for dozens of companies ranging from beauty and fashion products, jewelry, watches, electronics, and food.
